LG officially announced the new flagship LG G6. How does the LG G6 differ from its brother LG G5? The LG G6 and LG G5 are facing!
The LG G5, which has not been able to achieve the success it had been waiting for the past year, was confronted with the new flagship model LG G6, which users said they prepared this year according to their wishes. So what difference does the LG G6 show in the Mobile World Congress recently compared to its sibling LG G5? Let's examine the differences between the two models in chapters.
In the meantime, if you have not already looked at the details of the LG G6 before we wrote the comparison, let us take you to the following:
Design

The LG G6 has significant improvements over the LG G5 in terms of design, but perhaps the most important thing to mention at the design point is that the LG G6 does not have the design concept that LG says is modular in the G5.

The LG G5 was the design concept that was said to be the most criticized point of modularity. Although LG said the LG G5 is a "modular" phone, the modules are made up of only a few parts and the phone has some new features without changing the hardware features. Especially when these modules were sold at inflated prices and every time you wanted to plug in the modules, the LG G5 was one of the most important reasons to call it a failed phone. For this reason, the LG G5's mouth burning LG, the new flagship G6 decided to throw away these friends.
The new LG G6 is a phone that has much thinner frames and a successful screen-to-display ratio than its brother, the LG G5. When the LG G5 has a 5.3-inch QHD resolution display, LG increases the screen size by 5.7 inches and its resolution to QHD + on the new flagship LG G6. Although the LG G6 's screen grows substantially, the LG G5 and LG G6 have almost the same size thanks to the successful screen - to - frame ratio. This shows that the 5.7-inch screen with the LG G6 is easy to use with one hand. At the same time, the screen of the LG G6 is slightly longer than that of a smartphone. Normally, smartphones come out with 16: 9 format screens and the LG G6 has a 18: 9 format screen.

In addition, the design of the LG G6 is much simpler than the G5. On the back of the LG G6 is a dual camera that reduces the camera output compared to the G5, and a simple G6 logo at the back of the device. On the front side of the phone, unlike the LG G5, the color of the screen frames on the front according to the color of the phone is changed, and a simple LG logo is displayed at the bottom. There are three different color options: silver, black and white.
LG G6 shows resistance to water and toza
One of the most criticized points of the LG G5 was that it did not easily flood. Because the bottom part of the phone was removable, after a while it was much more water than other phones due to the space in the area where the phone modules were installed. Listening to the complaints of users at this point, LG is now showing resistance to water and tobacco thanks to the LG G6 and IP67 certificate. This means that the phone can stand up to 1 minute under 1 meter of fresh water.

We even saw how simple the LG G5 is having water in our "LG G5 Robustness Test" video. If you're still watching, you can watch your LG G5 robustness test video right now:
Although the phone is metal, there is no more paint like plastic

As you know, the LG G5 was the first to have a phone with a completely metal body, but the paint on the back of the phone was covered with the cover to cover the antenna lines. LG will also be taking a lesson from this situation that it no longer uses this pointless paint on the LG G6 and adjusts the phone's antenna lines so that it appears on the left and right side of the device. Thus, we can say that the LG G6 is a design that will create a much higher level of feeling compared to the LG G5.

Technicial Specifications
We do not know whether the design of the LG G6 is pleasing, but it is not wrong to say that it comes with a better design than the LG G5. For this reason, we talked about the LG G6 as a praise compared to the LG G5, but unfortunately it will not be the same on the technical side.
LG's new flagship model, the LG G6, is coming out with the Snapdragon 821 chipset instead of the Snapdragon 835, which we expect to use in flagship models this year. Compared to the Snapdragon 820 chipset used on the LG G5, it is not possible to see a performance difference between the LG G5 and the LG G6 because of the Snapdragon 821, which only has some improvements in operating frequency.

Regarding RAM, 4GB RAM is preferred as it is in the G5. There is no difference in the storage space of both models. Both the LG G5 and LG G6 have 32GB / 64GB internal storage and microSD card support.

Should not we take the LG G6 just because it's coming with last year's processor?
Of course we can not say such a thing. Although the phone seems to be a negative point in terms of the new generation of technologies to come with the Snapdragon 821 instead of the Snapdragon 835, a daily user will get a high level of performance on both processors and will have any problems in terms of performance. In this respect, the processor used by the phone does not make a significant difference to the end user.
At this point, I think the most important criterion will be the selling price of the phone. If the LG G6 is a serious price differentiator for both the LG G5 and other competing smartphones, or if it is at the same price as the phones using Snapdragon 835 and equivalent processors, you can also evaluate other models in such a dilemma.
Camera performance
Like the kill of the giant, but the eating of it, the LG G5, generally described as a failure, provided a good camera experience compared to most of its competitors. LG insists on continuing this success in the G6 model.

One of the LG G5s had a 16MP resolution with f1.8 aperture and a double rear camera with 8MP resolution with f2.4 aperture. Thanks to this dual rear camera, the LG G6 was able to shoot both high quality and wide angle pictures. The LG G5's new interceptor, the LG G6, comes with a dual rear camera with 13MP resolution and f1.8 aperture. This means that the photos you take on the LG G6 will both get better light and produce much better quality images.
The resolution is also increasing on the front camera side. The LG G5 comes with a front camera with 8MP resolution f2.0 resolution, while the LG G6 comes with a 12MP resolution front camera. Also thanks to other enhancements made in the front camera, the LG G6 can shoot wide-angle selfies.
Enhanced manual camera interface
LG was one of the first smartphone makers to come up against the manual camera interface on the LG G4, and the LG G5 continued to put this interface on top. In the LG G6, LG continues to offer the manual camera interface to its users with more advanced interface features. The LG G6, which is particularly ambitious about quality photographs, supports this claim with renewed camera software.
As a result, which one should I take?
The LG G6 promises better camera, better design, resistance to water and toe resistance and more up-to-date interface than the LG G5, but when we evaluate these features in general, the two phones are very close to each other except for the design details. You have to decide how important the design is for you, especially if you prefer one of the two telephones that are almost head-to-head on the technical performance side. Our recommendation is that if you are going to get one of these two phones and have enough budget you should opt for the LG G6 but if you find the LG G5 at a reasonable price and your budget is limited you still prefer the modular structure of the LG G5 and the design compared to the LG G6 A phone that is available.
